A display curated by Carlos Romo-Melgar

This selection of works presents a series of figurative yet cryptic spreads, inviting viewers to create meaning through careful, meditative observation.

Inspired by historical attempts to communicate with the unknown, such as the Arecibo Message, the Pioneer Plaque, or the Golden Record, the collection presents the limitations of prescriptive communication while celebrating the creative possibilities inherent in ambiguity.

The works span a variety of visual languages and media, often combining disparate elements or forming shapes that imply the existence of a deeper meaning.
